A laboratory does not want the same thing an office wants. Instruments drift with temperature and samples care about humidity, so stability beats raw cooling capacity.
We designed for a narrow band and controlled to it, with the plant sized so it modulates rather than cycling hard against the setpoint.
Standby capacity was built in for the rooms that cannot be allowed to drift if a unit is down.
