A ducted system lives or dies on the ductwork, not the unit. Undersized ducting makes noise and starves the far end of the room. A diffuser layout copied from a symmetrical plan onto an asymmetrical room leaves a warm corner that no service visit will ever fix.
We set out the duct route and the diffusers against the actual reflected ceiling plan, size for a velocity that stays quiet, and insulate properly — which in Chennai humidity is as much about stopping condensation dripping through a false ceiling as it is about efficiency.
At the end the system gets balanced with instruments, not by feel, and we record the readings so there is something to compare against in three years.

Insulation and vapour sealing
Insulation applied and sealed so that humid air is not condensing on cold duct above a false ceiling — the usual cause of ceiling stains a year after handover.

Throw and spread worked out for the room shape, with returns positioned so the air actually circulates instead of short-cycling back.

Airflow measured and adjusted at each outlet, with the figures written down and handed over.
Common questions
Questions we get asked
How much ceiling height do I need?
Allow around 450 to 600 mm of void for the duct and insulation over the main runs, less at the branches. If the height is tight we will look at a flatter duct section or a different unit position before telling you it cannot be done.
Why is my existing ducted system noisy?
Almost always duct velocity — the ducting is too small for the air being pushed through it. It can sometimes be improved with diffuser changes and fan speed, but if the trunk is undersized that is the real fix.
Can you work around an existing false ceiling?
Yes. We open up only where we need to, work at night if the space is trading, and make good afterwards. It is slower than a bare shell, and the quote will say so.
Ductable or package unit?
Ductable for most commercial interiors. Package units suit large open volumes where the machine can sit outside or in a plant space and blow through a short duct run.
