Heat and fume extraction
Extract at the source where the process allows it, and high-level general extract where it does not.

Industrial ventilation
Heat and fume extraction, air changes for workshops and sheds, basement and toilet exhaust — planned around shift timings so nothing stops production.
On a shop floor, ventilation is not a comfort item. It is about getting the heat off the machines and the fumes away from the people, at an air change rate that suits what is actually being done in the building.
Cooling the whole volume is usually the wrong answer and always the expensive one. More often the fix is high-level extract, deliberate make-up air at low level, and spot cooling only where people stand.
We plan this work around shift patterns. Everything we have done on a factory floor has been fitted between shifts or over a planned shutdown — no line has stopped for us.
Where this applies
Manufacturing plants, workshops and fabrication sheds, warehouses, process industries, and commercial basements and car parks.

Scope
This is what goes into the quote. If something on your job is not on this list, it will be written in rather than assumed.
01
Extract at the source where the process allows it, and high-level general extract where it does not.
02
Replacement air brought in deliberately at low level, so the extract has something to work with and doors are not fighting you.
03
The unglamorous systems that get noticed only when they stop — sized properly and ducted to a discharge that works.
04
Conditioned air where people actually stand, instead of trying to cool a shed with a roof twelve metres up.
Common questions
Sometimes, but it is rarely the right question. Usually the answer is ventilation plus spot cooling where people work — a fraction of the cost, and it actually solves the heat problem.
Always. We agree the access windows before the job starts and work to them. Nothing about our programme should require a line to stop.
Materials get chosen for the environment rather than for cost — that matters in plants where the air is not dry and neutral. We will say plainly where the cheaper option will not last.
Yes, including extract, make-up air and the fan arrangement. It is a common retrofit in older commercial buildings in the city.
